IMO STUDIO is an aerial dance and movement studio that enhances the mind-body relationship in an integrative and lay back tone!
We are specialized in pole dance, and our instructors have several years of experience in teaching this art form.
We promote a non-competitive, body-positive, and all genders inclusive environment. Here you will learn the art of pole dancing in a welcoming, safe and encouraging space, where there’s always room for growth.

At Imo Studio we put into practice a teaching methodology specialized in aerial dance, with a focus on detail and technical rigor.
Our classes are organized by levels of technical difficulty, and planned according to short, medium and long term goals (e.g. beginner, intermediate, advanced level). This structure allows us to provide classes that are accessible and adapted to any practitioner, regardless of their experience and always respecting their individuality, thus promoting a progressive and safe learning process.
Long before Imo Studio became a "house", the foundations of its existence were built in Joana Silva's dreams. Her passion for pole dance in particular (and dance/movement in general), her vocation for teaching, and the will to share knowledge with others, in a safe, friendly and inclusive space, were enough reasons to build a “house”, a center, an IMO.
After teaching pole dance in many different studios since 2008, Joana Silva made her dream come true and founded Imo Studio, in June 2021.
